The Anya Wig | Gorgeous everyday hair ...

I've spent an awful long time and a lot of effort sourcing products from outside the UK that meet the standards both myself and my clients expect from alternative hair.

Ellen Wille, Jon Renau, Follea ...... and many more amazing suppliers / manufacturers.

Now I'm feeling settled and happy with the range we offer from these companies I've started looking a little closer to home (I do tend to do things back to front don't I!?) and today I wanted to share a style with you from one of our suppliers based in the UK.

I've chosen the Anya style to spot light today for a couple of reason

1) This cap design reminds me very much of a smart lace cap. Anya has a welded lace front that's transparent and a full mono top. The back is open wefted for comfort and coolness and you can adjust the sizing by pulling in or loosening the Velcro straps in the nape.

2) The style is just so natural and easy to wear!

Anya has length to her but she in no way feels over powering thanks to the razored layers and soft side fringe. The fringe has been cut in such a way that it can easily be swept off to one side and blends beautifully into the rest of the style or you could wear it as a side fringe and use some fixing spray to hold in position.

You even have the option of cutting the fringe shorter to create a more full one length fringe if this is the kind of look you prefer.

Anya is made using high quality synthetic fibre that keeps its shape and style wash after wash. As with all longer length synthetic wigs friction WILL happen. It's simply UN-avoidable! The good news is that by using a good quality anti friction spray daily you're going to have less issues with friction than if you simply didn't bother using it.

I'd love to hear your views on the Anya wig.

Have you worn it before?

Are you a fan of this style?

The Jodie Wig | Jon Renau Spring 2015 Collection

The Jodie wig brings us volume.

Lots and lots of volume!

You're going to love this style if you like to wear your alternative hair full and glamorous.

Don't be fooled into thinking that the Jodie's wig is a 'one trick pony' though as you can smooth her out and create a sleek and sophisticated look just as easily as you can create volume in her using only your finger tips or a wide tooth comb.

Jodie comes Pre-styled and ready to wear straight out of the box.

Jon Renau describe the Jodie wig as 'A playfully textured bob' on their website and I'd say this is a pretty accurate description!

You can brush the hair away from your face to create a more classic shape or brush the hair forward onto and around your face for a look that's a little more modern and young.

The cap construction on the Jodie features a full monofilament top, Smart Lace front and a machine made back and sides for comfort and coolness. You can adjust the sizing of the Jodie by using the Velcro straps at the nape of the wig.

I'd love to know your thoughts on the Jodie wig.

Beautiful new hair for a beautiful client! | the Amber wig by Jon Renau

I always love it when a new client comes in for a consultation with me and I can tell right away that they're just NOT convinced.

Not convinced by wigs

Not convinced that I can help

Not convinced by the idea of a lace front, mono top and blah blah blah ...

But you know what? That's OK with me!

In fact, it's more than OK with me. Why? Well let me tell you ....

First off my mission is not to convince or talk anyone into anything. I don't believe that's what I was put on this earth for and I suspect that if my business relied on my being a good 'convincer' It would have all gone belly up quite some time ago.

I'm not a 'sell sand to the Arabs' kinda gal. I'm just not!

What I am though (and what I believe I was put on this earth to do) is a person who likes to encourage and build others confidence by educating them to the best of my ability.

Don't ask me to calculate sums because I'm rubbish at maths .....

Don't expect me to understand you if you all to me in French (I struggle with English most days never mind French!!!)

And please, PLEASE, for the love of all things sacred (wigs, wigs and more wigs) don't even THINK about asking me anything to do with geography ...

My passion is alternative hair. Without a doubt showing ladies who are experiencing hair loss just how natural wigs and hair pieces can be is the best job in the world. It's very rewarding in so many ways!

Today I wanted to share a few snaps of one of my recent clients with you all.

My client is wearing the Jon Renau Amber wig in the photos below. Doesn't she look gorgeous!

The colour my client is wearing in the above pictures is the 24BT18S8. She also has the Blake human hair wig in this colour and the colour match between the two wigs is a fab one!

I recorded this short video and popped it on my Facebook page that shows just how close a match the colour was between synthetic and human hair. You can watch it right here

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Amber wig!

Have you worn this style before?

Why you're going to be Krazy for Karlie ....

Another fab style from Jon Renau to go through with you today :)

The Karlie wig is inspired and was created for Jon Renau''s new spring 2015 collection based on wearers feedback.

Do you remember the Elle wig? If not you can check her out here.

The Elle is still an incredibly popular style but wearers wanted something a little extra from it.

We wanted a more luxurious cap!

We wanted something that would feel a little more comfortable as we like to wear the Elle so much .....

Jon Renau have listened and have brought us the Karlie wig.

Karlie is a high quality synthetic wig that is shoulder skimming / just below shoulder length. She does have a little layering through her which gives her good movement that's natural :)

The base is a fab one!

Karlie has a welded lace front from temple to temple which is going to allow you to wear the hair away from your face. The great thing about a lace front is that it gives you a very soft connection between your forehead and the wig. The transparent lace blends into your own skin tone and the hairs look like they're growing right out of your hair line!

Karlie also has a full monofilament top so you can part the hair in any direction. A monofilament top also gives you a natural look where the hair is parted.

The rest of the cap is hand-tied with no open wefts and has an adjustable nape (Velcro straps).

She's a lovely style don't you think!?

Let me know what you think of the Karlie wig and I'll speak to you again soon :)

In The Spotlight - The Katherine Wig | Jon Renau Spring 2015

I'm really enjoying blogging about Jon Renau's new Spring 2015 collection.

You're probably already aware that I am a massive fan of the Smart Lace wigs! If you're not aware then let me just put that right out there now ...

My clients love them too so that kind of works out really well in the Aspire shop :)

One of the things I love the most about Smart Lace wigs (apart from the fab lace front!) is the fact that the collection is so versatile.

High quality synthetic fibre, HD fibre, Indian / Chinese Remy human hair and European Remy human hair ..... we're not limited by our budget as there really is something to suit everyone within each of our individual budgets.

The colour choices available from Jon Renau are also superb. They have a selection of gorgeous natural shades including rooted colours and a selection of more vibrant fashion shades so we're spoilt for choice really (in a good way of course)

Today I wanted to show you the Katherine wig from Jon Renaus recently launched Spring 2015 collection.

Let's jump in and take a look!

The Katherine wig kind of reminds me of the Giselle wig at first glance but perhaps shorter in length.

The Giselle wig is massively popular with my ladies and a great 'going out' style as I like to call it! The Katherine reminds me of Giselle but she feels more 'everyday' to me which is wonderful as we all love to feel a glam of a day time I'm sure! I know I do :)

Styling wise Katherine is what I'd call a medium length style with soft wavy layers that make it easy to wear with a little more volume or smooth out for a flatter look (do we really want flat hair though!?). She comes pre styled as do all of the Jon Renau Smart Lace wigs so she is 100% ready to wear.

A soft fringe has been added into this style that ideally should be worn off to one side. You get to choose the side it's swept away too which is nice as we all have different prefernces and tastes when it comes to side fringes!

Now, here's where Jon Renau have kept things simple for us. Katherine has a welded Smart Lace front that's going to give you all the away fromt he face hair wearing versatility that all the Smart Lace wigs do BUT she has an open cap (no mono top in this one).

An open cap keeps us cool and comfortable throughout the warmer months and also means that Katherine is more affordable. Yay! I'll take two please!!

I'd love to get your feedback on the Katherine wig. Let me know what you think of her in the comments below.

Will you be wearing the Katherine this Spring / Summer?

A little bit of mindfulness can go an awful long way (I speak from experience!)

I'm a worrier.

A dreamer

A planner

But mostly ..... Even though I hate to admit it - I am a worrier through and through.

When I started aspire 5 years ago I was in a constant state of alert.

The business grew pretty quickly considering the only knowledge I had was about wigs!

You'd think that my passion for wigs would have been enough but you'd be a million miles away from the truth of it.

Marketing, social media, customer service, good social skills, a good telephone manner, website design skills, writing skills, book keeping skills ...... These are all things I'd never considered!!

So, in typical Emma style I found myself dealing with issues IMMEDIATELY as they came up.

I read lots of books.

Built a website myself (it's served me well for 5 years and I'm only just ... ONLY JUST ... Having a new one professionally built!

The point I'm trying to make is not that I'm some genius or that I'm anything special but what I'm saying is I was in constant alert ...

What next?

What do I have to learn now?

What's going to go wrong next?

I can't believe I said that to a supplier last week I must have sounded so unprofessional!!?

Do you see what's happening here?

I was always worrying about what had happened the day / week / month before. Always panicking about what was going to happen next in the future.

One of the most valuable lessons I've learnt is that what happened in the past can't be changed and what's coming in the future will come no matter what.

So why do we worry about things that have passed and things yet to come?

To be honest I haven't a clue! It seems silly when you break everything down that way but still we continue to do it day after day ....

A friend of mine recommended a few books to me and me being a total book geek I got myself straight onto amazon UK and order them in.

I just wanted to share them with you today in case you were feeling stressed and anxious. I can highly recommend them!

Click on the links below to go straight to amazon UK and learn more about each book :) I'm not affiliated with amazon or any if the authors of these books BTW!! I just really like them and think you'll like them too ...

The Power Wig | Annica Hansen Collection

Such a fab-tastic name!

I wonder if by wearing this style it would make us feel more like it's name - Power {full} ?

I think alternative hair does make us feel more powerful to be honest. There is no better feeling in the world for a women that wears alternative hair than finding that style .... THE ONE ..... The wig that makes us feel just like ourselves again or even better, an improved version of ourselves!

It's great to feel just like ourselves but just a more confident version. Do you agree?

So the Power wig - what do we love about her?
For starters the Power Look wig is a trendy asymmetrical style that everyone seems to be going crazy for right now. With the Power look you get a style that's short and neat into the nape (massive help with friction by the way!) and length around the face at one side.

I'd describe it as 'a twist on a classic short cut' :)

Power look is made using high quality synthetic fibre that looks and moves naturally. No need to worry about the 'Lego hair' look with any of the wigs that we offer at Aspire!

The cap construction features an open wefted cap for comfort and coolness and a mono parting for a natural look.

Available in 10 lovely shades!

What do you think of the Power Look wig? Let me know!

Easter Weekend Sale! | Use code EASTER10 at Checkout ...

Any excuse for a sale at Aspire HQ!

I LOVE offering my clients their favourites at a little extra off :)

What better excuse for a sale than Easter weekend ..... because let's be honest after all that chocolate and over indulgence we're all going to need something that makes us feel a bit better (or is that just me!)

I played around with how I was going to run this weekend long sale (It's gonna end at 11.59pm on Sunday 5th April) and went backwards and forwards with how and what I was going to put on sale.

In the end I came to the conclusion that it was easier to set a 10% discount code that was redeemable against ALL of the products we offer on our website (excluding Follea) so that way everyone could have the chance to find their perfect alternative hair at a special Easter sale price.

Here's your code!

You can head on over to my website right here and check out all the items we offer.

Don't forget to use your code at checkout!

Happy Easter weekend everyone and I'm sending you Lot's of hugs and well wishes :)

The Scarlett wig | Jon renau Spring 2015 Collection

I can feel myself coming over all mystical and physic all of a sudden!

What's my prediction??

Well I'm glad you asked! Here it is ....

I predict that the Scarlett wig is going to be one of our BESTSELLER stiles of spring and summer 2015!!

That's a big predication right? How brave am I making such a bold statement!?

Well, I'm not brave at all (I'm not physic either by the way haha!)

I'm speaking from experience as a wearer and from experience of what my clients at Aspire absolutely LOVE.

Today were going to take a look in detail at the new Jon Renau Scarlett Smart Lace wig from their Spring 2015 collection.

The inspiration behind the Scarlett wig has come from YOU! The lovely people at Jon Renau have listened good and hard to what you wanted to see in this collection and they've created so etching very beautiful in the Scarlett wig :)

The style is best described as a mix between the Heidi wig and the Julianne wig which are both massively popular styles.

Scarlett's shoulder skimming style is easy to wear and care for and made using high quality synthetic fibre.

Now, I know synthetic wigs tend to get some bad feedback but the thing you have to remember is this. Wigs require care and need to be maintained. If you're not using a good quality anti friction spray on your synthetics then of course they are going to become a tangled and frazzled mess after just a few short weeks.

The correct brush / comb. Shampoo and conditioning / anti friction spray is a must! More on this subject later as I have a post all lined up for you on how to get the most from your synthetic wigs but for now let's get back to the Scarlett wig ...

The base on the Scarlett wig features the famous Smart Lace front that gives you a natural front hair line. A welded lace front also allows you to wear the hair away from your face without anyone ever suspecting that you wear hair.

The top, back and sides of the Scarlett wig is machine made and open wefted. This is great for keeping you cool and comfortable all day long. Another great thing about this type of base is that the price is lower than that of a mono top / lace front wig. Yay!!

I'd love to get your feedback on the Scarlett wig so let me know what you think in the comments below.

Glam it up with this new Annica Hansen style :)

The name sums this gorgeous style up perfectly.

This style is defiantly Glam :) It can be worn in many different ways even though its one of the shorter styles from the new Annica Hansen collection.

Off the top of my head (pardon the pun!) I can think of around 30 of my gorgeous clients that this style would work PERFECTLY for.

Everything about it from the colours available, the actual style of the Glam wig and the base construction screams their names at me!

So, today we're going to be taking a closer look at the Glam Look wig by Annica Hansen. Let's get started with it!
Glam Look wig gives us a little extra length in the back and through the layers than most styles we tend to see withing the 'shorter wig length' category. This wig actually reminds me of how natural hair looks about 4 weeks AFTER you've had your hair cut and styled at the hair dressers.

You know .... around the 4 weeks mark when you feel your hair is finally growing into it's cut so to speak??

However you like to think of it one thing remains true for me and that's the fact that I really LOVE this style and more importantly, my clients are going to love it too :)

The base on the Glam wig is a luxurious mic of a welded lace front which gives us the option to wear the hair away from the face, a full monofilament top and an open wefted back and sides which will keep you cool and comfortable all day long.

The glam wig comes in a selection of 9 stunning colours so you really are going to be spoilt for choice!

I'd love to hear what you think about the new Glam Look wig so please do let me know in the comments below. Also, feel free to ask any questions you may have and I'll do my very best to help out where I can :)

One more thing! Check the Glam Look wig out right here on my website

Sleek by name | Sleek by nature (and a fab price too!)

Long but not too long and super sleek ....

This wig is going to be massively popular I can just feel it in my little wig addict bones!

Why? Well for one she looks GREAT and secondly she comes in at an affordable price that opens this wig up to everyone no matter how tight your budget is.

The affordability factor is one of the things that most excites me about the new Annica Hansen collection by Ellen Wille and it's not just this manufacturer that has listened to what hair wearers have had to say .... Jon Renau are also offering more and more styles that are more affordably priced too so it's a trend that certainly seems to be catching on (more on the Jon Renau Spring 2015 collection in April!)

Let's take a look at the Sleek look wig in more detail below.

Sleek has length to her which is great but shes not so long that shes going to drive you crazy during your busy day to day life. The density on her is a really nice medium density so she doesn't feel to over powering either - another must have feature for a natural everyday look!

She comes pre styled with a soft light weight fringe that could so easily be worn off to the side or brushed forward for a different look.

The cap construction on Sleek Look features a machine made open cap for comfort and coolness and a mono parting.

 Now for the colours!

Sleek Look comes in 9 pretty shades and Ellen Wille have also included some rooted colours in there for us too :)

As always I'd love to get your thoughts on this style.
